Interpersonal Relationships

Relationships can be really challenging, especially when you are living in close quarters with someone. We all get frustrated and are pushed to different and new limits with each other. Often times, the ways we experience others, including through struggles, shape us as people and expose us to new things. For example:

Have a great November and Christmas break!

October is...

Healthy Behaviors month! It's a national thing, I think...get with the program.

Anyway, healthy behaviors can look like a lot of different things in the busy world of college. Getting 9 hours of sleep a night (who ever has 9 free hours??), exercising (once in a while?), and taking time for yourself are all really important. While sometimes these things can seem impossible to accomplish as we get closer to crunch time, why not do the next best thing?

I'm sure many of you have experienced the crippling effects the flu can have on your academics pursuits. So, I say why not get a flu shot to give you the best chance to stay healthy this winter? The Earle Infirmary will be offering flu shots on the 10th and 11th so get there soon! Have a great month and see you around A-city.

Wanna meet the Man?

Eddie is the Director of the North Village Area, and if you have any pressing questions, he is the man with the answers!

The Perfect Study Break!

Hey North Village A!

Thank you to everyone for helping me with this roster signing ordeal! I know it can be a pain but your flexibility and understanding made the process go smoothly.

About once every month, you will be getting an email from me on the subject of some of Housing & Residence Life's "Learning Outcomes". This month’s "Learning Outcome" is Intellectual Growth.

So...study, right? Yep (here's a convenient link to some more study tips http://www.collegetips.com/college-classes/study-tips.php). But also, take "intellectual growth" breaks. Walk around the library, go for a jog, give your brain a break! Taking small bits of time off from studying will help you in the long run. So, with that in mind, I have a perfect study break idea for you!

North Village Block Party

FREE FOOD AND FUN!!! INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND BRING YOUR ENTIRE APARTMENT!!!

September 16th from 6pm-8pm on "G Field" (the open field surrounded by G, H and I)

Who doesn't love free food, right? I'm all about the freebies. Anyway, I hope to see everyone there! Have an awesome month and I'll see you around A and campus.

Welcome Back!

I hope that all of you had summers that were enjoyable and productive. My name is Joey and I will be the Community Assistant (CA) of A for the year. As your CA, I am available to help you with anything you may need throughout the year, so please do not hesitate to contact me.

When you arrive in your apartment, you will find some information sheets to answer any move-in questions you may have. You will also find a set of T-pins inside a small envelope, which are to be used when hanging items on the walls. If you find any damages in your room, please report them on the link below. Trust me, you want to do this to avoid fines. Lastly, you can find a few useful links on the right side of this page. I will be posting on this blog regularly so feel free to check back for important updates and community activities!
